An Island Grows

Stefanie has opened a daycare, one of the things they do is story time and afterwards do a project that reinforces the story.

 In the book An Island Grows by Lola M. Schaefer we learned that island's are made from lava. Inspired by this process, we made lava to study and manipulate.

Scented coconut sand, shells, and glass jewles are always a fun way to explore the beachside of an island.

It seems that not only lava creates islands, but little ones can too.

Three new islands just popped out of the ocean today.
