Retired 10-17-19

I cannot believe that the day of my retirement has dawned ( a little earlier then I had planned)! Until now, the reality has not set in that as of today I won’t get to see and speak to my co-workers at work again. I’ve always looked forward to my retirement as a time of peace and quiet, but now I feel a bit torn. I’m going to miss them all so much. They have all made a profound impact on my life. I hope I’ve been able to do the same for them.

It’s not easy to accept that you’ve passed your ‘best before date’, especially when you love your job and the people you interact with. I look back on our many years together with a great deal of nostalgia. The wonderful memories we’ve created along the way will live with me forever. Through good times and bad, the one thing I’ve always been able to count on is that my family at work has my back. I’ll miss the easy camaraderie that came so naturally to us.
