Anna created the perfect kit to show case Risa’s Little Bits.  I combined the kit with a class technique I just learned taking Jana Morton Inspired Images…..

Process:  Framed picture of Stef and Risa, unsaturated it, added color transfers and clipped to photo in various areas.  Masked out part of one so Stef’s face showed through.  Made pattern background of Risa’s little bits of body parts clipped to one of the Cherish transfers – lowed opacity.  Worked the opposite area by adding some white texture and grouped – added a couple of flowers – strokes and splatters.

My youngest granddaughter Risa has been such a blessing to our family, she brings us so much joy and laughter.

Process: Clipped picture of Risa to one of the WaterColor FotoBlendz, the picture had a lot of green from the yard in the background, I didn’t want to over power the layout so I masked out the FotoBlendz mask and started painting some of it out so the grass wasn’t showing.  I wanted to add more of the pink color to the layout so I used one of the transfers above the photo and painted out some of the color around Risa’s face and clothing.  For the tulips I used the brush and used a pink overlay to make the outline of the tulips more of a darker pink.  Used a watercolor brush to add color to the flower.  Added the bow and adjusted the color using “color adjustment” mode to make it fit my layout better.  Finished off by adding some artzyKard transfers to add a bit of green and also added splatters.

Today I felt the need to reflect and take myself down the road that Jesus walked going to his death and ultimate victory over it.  The song that came to mind was sung by that Sandi Patti many years ago and still brings an emotional response from me.

This is a solemn day for Christianity as we think about how our Lord suffered and gave the ultimate sacrifice, his life for us.

The words of the song are below:

 Down the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem that day

The soldiers tried to clear the narrow street

But the crowd pressed in to see

The Man condemned to die on Calvary

 He was bleeding from a beating, there were stripes upon His back

And He wore a crown of thorns upon His head

And He bore with every step

Down the Via Dolorosa called the way of suffering

Process:  Used Believe transfer2, resize and used as clipping mask for my photo, used overlay blend mode.  Used background paper5, made some crosses, added wreath and flower from Artplay blossom.  To anchor crosses I used the yellow circle from the multimedia Chicks and lowered the opacity to make it softer.  Added clouds with a cloud brush I had.  Created text around circle.

Process:  Original photo was a sepia tone, I wanted to change it to BW, so I went into my adjustment layer and used the Black and White adj., it still needed a little tweaking so I adjusted the brightness and contrast.  I placed it on the background paper I wanted and used brush #14 as a clipping mask, added the frame and several brushes and transfers to complete my layout.

Process: Used Brandy Murry’s action Pak to prepare my photo, giving it a slight watercolor style.  Combined a couple of FotoBlendz to get a softer shape to clip my photo too.  Added various transfers and strokes.

Process:  I started with Artsy Template 138 and turned off the picture frame on the upper right corner.  I put the picture I wanted in the other two, erasing part of the upper frame to give the butterfly an OOB look.  I started adding paper and using the ArtsyKardz  for clipping to the various textures, paints, stains that Anna has already built into the template.  Found a butterfly quote and finished it off.
